Tammy Burns usually watched the game from the edge of her street instead of going to the football field. Sunday night, she was standing at the edge of her street with her neighbors when she saw people shoving each other after the game, she said.
“‘Hey, he got that pistol,'” Burns recalled a man yelling. “When he said that, the shots started going like it was the Fourth of July.”
Burns and the other adults grabbed as many kids as they could and ran home.
