Updated on February 8, 2019

On February 7, 2019, the Dallas Police Department received a report from the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences which confirmed the DNA profile obtained from the victim’s forensic exam matched the DNA profile of Dralon Patterson.  Mr. Patterson has already been charged with Aggravated Sexual Assault in this offense and is in jail on $250,000 bond.

DNA has also linked Dralon Patterson to a Sexual Assault which is documented on Case #263874-2017.  On November 19, 2017, at approximately 12:30 a.m., the 26-year-old female complainant was walking to her car in the 3100 block of Lemmon Avenue after a night out at the West Village.  The complainant encountered the suspect and was sexually assaulted inside a vehicle.  The complainant was dropped off after the assault.  The complainant immediately went to a hospital for a forensic exam.  The DNA profile obtained from that exam matched the DNA profile of Dralon Patterson.  Detectives are currently preparing the arrest warrant to charge Dralon Patterson with Sexual Assault in the 2017 case.
